It was America who voted La Toya London out. And it was also America who booed when La Toya London was voted out.
Shame on you, America.
Jasmine "i'm-seventeen-i've-a-nice-smile-and-i've-got-a-flower-in-my-hair" Trias should have been out eons ago. yes, i dun deny i liked her immensely at first. but as the competition went on, it was clear that she did not have the lungs, nor the potential, to make it into the last three. her performance two weeks ago had started going downhill, and amongst Diana, La Toya and Fantasia, it was obvious she should have been out.
so why was the one voted out La Toya?
Because, mainly, AMI3 had turned into a popularity voting show. it didnt matter that La Toya had a more powerful voice than Jasmine. Jasmine had the whole of Hawaii behind her, plus all the little boys who thought she was cute. and she might even have garnered a few sympathy votes as she teared in the face of Simon Cowell's point blank comments. that was how she won over one of the best in AMI3. the fact that she tried to look sad the moment La Toya was out (when actually she was darn ecstatic inside) was nasueating.
its the final three today. and i hope that when the results are announced tomorrow, it would be Jasmine Trias writing "a lot of thank you letters to Hawaii".
