Happy Lunar New Year!Highlights of my CNY holiday:
- angpows! i.e. money. very pleased with my haul this year, think it could be the highest amount of angpow money i ever got! and we're not even talking about three digits here... muahaha
- reunion dinner - satisfying full, i feel (then again when is it not full?) and its probably the only time of the year i actually get to talk to my dad a bit.
- freebies - i got a makeup bag full of marvelous make up stuff inside from my mumsy dearest! like a i nuovi ten colour lipstick kit, clinique lipstick, shiseido mascara and lipstick, and i forgot what... and i kop-ed a pair of diamonte and crystals earrrings in shades of blue from her too! To match my butterfly diamonte necklace, see. :)
- talk with my aunt. after dinner at some Japanese restaurant (we sat at the table where there were cushions for us to supposedly kneel on! so Jap-sy... but we chose to sit instead lar. hurhur. kneel very pain one, you know?), she took a detour drive to Changi Airport and we talked about some stuff. About my friends, life... and it felt really good, cuz my aunt is one person whom i can be brutally honest to. i can comment freely and bring forth everything that's been churning in my brain but didn't voice out. i know i'm a usually a smiley person and all, but i am human too... and naturally i would have certain opinions on particular persons and particualr incidents... well you could say that i like to hide behind my smile. don't worry, though, my smiles are definitely not malicious. sometimes i just think its wiser to keep my trap shut.
- my brother - had a heart to heart talk with him on his relationship problems, and though i'm not entirely sure if i've managed to talk some sense into him, but it felt good nonetheless to talk to my brother like that.
and finally, last but not least, seeing the whole family together. we may not always be laughing together, but the fact is we sat at a table together, at least so for three days. And that, to me, is truly enough. :)
