Was tidying up my practicum files, and i realise i threw out a lot of stuff, most of them lesson plans which have been amended time and again.

i'm thankful that my CT takes the trouble to go thru my lesson plans in detail, even helping me to correct sentences, rather than just browsing through my lesson plans. Jasmine (Kwok) commented that my CT's a rather strict person. Well... i would say she's a very detailed person, and really pays attention to my teaching in class.

Got rather terrified today. A fellow trainee teacher didn't make the cut for his supervisor observation today... and that got me horrified. Because I'm taking the exact same class for my supervisor obeservation... the class notorious for rude and talkative kids.

but i don't think its fair to keep saying the students are noisy, lar. As a teacher, my job is to manage them and teach them, and if they are that noisy and that rude, then i have to do something about it. it takes two hands to clap.

on another note, i didn't realise how attached i'd become to my classes. today was the prefects' investiture, and about 5 of my students went on stage to recieve their prefect ties. When i saw my kids going up i nearly cried. yes you heard me right. i nearly CRIED. its this unexplainable twinge in the heart. they may be noisy and rude but they're still kids and i do love them. :)

i was so touched today when Jasper said sorry to me. Jasper is this kid that has autism in my class, and often has trouble concentrating because he's lost in his own world. Not to mention that he often disturbs his classmates just because he feels like it. Halfway through my lesson today, he disturbed another kid and the kid complained to me. I didn't scold Jasper (he's very adorable lei), i simply went up to him and told him that I was conducting a lesson and it wasn't polite to interrupt me like that. Imagine my surprise when he said "Ok. Ok, i got it. Sorry. Sorry." WHOA. Major 感动 can?! Goodness. My second 感动 from so-called bad kids in this class.

tired, tired, tired. but getting used to the routine, slowly.

i think i might cry when i leave my naughty P4 class. I have this thing for naughty kids. Sigh. If only i can find a way to handle them effectively....
